About Us

At Primitive Therapeutics, our goal is to bring the skill of Reflex Locomotion to English speaking healthcare providers. These courses are designed for PT, OT, DC, ATC, MD and DO.

Our Methodology

Your instructors at Primitive Therapeutics have spent decades traveling the globe and learning from various experts in Reflex Locomotion. Your lead instructor, Dr. Rich Cohen, is a certified Vojta therapist and has over 320 hours of direct study with the International Vojta Society. All of these hours were taught in the technique’s native language… German.  With that, your curriculum is filled with unique knowledge acquired directly from textbooks and firsthand course notes not available in English.

With the excitement of a learning a new clinical technique comes the challenge of clinical integration.  As your instructors have embarked on their training adventures, they began to overcome the challenge of applying the principles of Reflex Locomotion in private practice. Through the process of their own successes and failures, Primitive Therapeutics has developed an approach to simplify your journey.

The key to this technique (as with many) is having a solid base of knowledge before progressing to application. The only way to really learn Reflex Locomotion is to have plenty of hands-on practice. Your curriculum is designed to build on the principles of developmental neurology and motor pattern development. Once you study and complete the Principles (RLP) course your knowledge retention and technical application after you join us in the hands on courses will be significantly improved. By learning more upfront you get more from the guided hands-on practice.
